Bougainvilleas are native plants of South America from Brazil west to Peru and south to southern Argentina (Chubut Province), although nowadays we can find them planted in other parts of the world.
Who doesn’t like bougainvilleas? I love all their varied bright colors so much that I can’t think of one as my favorite color. Here’s a sample of a pink and orange color bougainvillea.
The actual flower of the plant is small and generally white, but each cluster of three flowers is surrounded by three or six bracts with intensive colors: pink, magenta, purple, red, orange, yellow or even white. I have only see in front of me the first five colors, which we can find in Mexico, but not the white or yellow. Which color is your favorite?

I love this flower,too!
In Japan, we can see them in Okinawa. I’m sad we don’t have them here in the Tohoku region,(;´Д`)
Oh, yes? What colors can you find in Okinawa? Do you have a favorite color?
There are 3 colors-purple, vivid pink and white.
I love vivid pink the best!
