Weekly Photo Challenge: shadow
This is a Fresnel Lens that was manufactured in England by Chance Brothers. It was installed at Anacapa Island lighthouse on March 25, 1932. Although, actually is located at the Visitors Centre at Anacapa Island, in their tiny museum.
The multifaceted crystal lens is bounded in polished brass. It is equipped with three flash panels and performing one revolution every minute, the lens produced a signature of 0.1 second of white light, 11.9 seconds of darkness, 0.1 second of light, 11.9 seconds of darkness, 0.1 second of light, and 35. 9 seconds of darkness.
For me, the word bliss is related to sunny days and solitude is always a blissful moment. I usually like to be surrounded by nature when I want to be in solitude. So I decided to put the words together and represent them in this photo of a light house in a non-habitable Island on a sunny day.
